Our team in St. John's, NL is seeking a Construction Coordinator (P&M) to join the team!

What will you be doing?

  • Provide constructability input for engineering studies and design.
  • Provide construction input into EPC estimates.
  • Prepare work packages for field execution including liaise with various departments during work method development and to ensure all day-to-day activities are coordinated and deliverables are being issued according to schedule.
  • Review work scope to identify material, equipment and resource requirements including management of tools, equipment and material through execution of work.
  • Identify and offer cost effective solutions to both Aker Solutions and client.
  • Interrupting engineering designs and documentation.
  • Provide onshore support to offshore team during work execution.
  • Support ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in problem analyses and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Interpret and make decisions on discipline methods for planned work scopes.
  • Adjust priorities, work methods, and schedules to meet requirements ensure decisions do not interfere with overall platform work and operations.
  • Liaise with project engineering to ensure all day-to-day activities are coordinated and deliverables are being issued according to schedule and in line with client Asset Plan.
  • Acting as a mentor for intermediate and junior personnel within a specific discipline.
  • Provide support to discipline construction leads as needed to support ongoing operations.
  • Travel offshore to support field execution and construction coordination as applicable.
  • Act as a champion for specific processes and procedures ensuring current methods of work.

We think you should have:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering/construction environment or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (coordination, planning, and execution of work plans). Ability to interpret and make decisions on methods and techniques to be utilized for work of related discipline. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office.
