Do you want to play a role in solving global energy challenges for future generations?

At Aker Solutions we are changemakers with nearly 200 years of experience, committed to helping the energy industry #PowerTheChange towards a net-zero future. We are driven by collaboration and curiosity, building tomorrow’s technological solutions today!

Aker Solutions’ Power Solutions helps asset owners and developers engineer, integrate, and deliver reliable, low-carbon power – from hydropower and grid-connected systems to offshore and subsea electrification. By combining proven technology with hands-on EPC experience, we reduce risk, streamline schedules, and enhance lifecycle performance.

We are now seeking a Buyer to join our Supply Chain organization, with the role based in Kristinehamn, Sweden. You will be part of a highly skilled team specializing in procurement, logistics, quality, and supplier surveillance.

In this role, you will support the execution of sourcing and procurement activities within the Power Solutions segment. You will contribute to project deliveries by managing assigned procurement scope from sourcing through to final delivery, working closely with project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. On a day‑to‑day basis, you will collaborate across functions and support efficient, compliant, and cost‑effective procurement throughout the project lifecycle.

What will you be doing?

  • Execute procurement activities in line with company policies, procedures, and project requirements
  • Hold accountability for cost, schedule, and quality within assigned procurement scope
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, award, and contract administration
  • Lead commercial negotiations and collaborate with Legal on more complex contractual matters
  • Monitor and report on contracts (cost, schedule, risks, changes), and drive change management where needed
  • Maintain accurate ERP data (e.g. SAP), as well as contract documentation and correspondence
  • Build and manage supplier relationships and represent procurement towards external partners
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams and lead supplier and internal status meetings
  • Establish and manage framework agreements where relevant
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across cost, quality, lead time, and delivery performance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and procurement reporting across projects

We think you should have:

  • Relevant higher education within business, engineering, or a related field; relevant work experience may compensate for formal education
  • At least two years of experience from procurement, supply chain, or similar roles
  • Basic project management skills, with the ability to manage defined tasks, priorities, and stakeholders
  • Solid commercial understanding combined with technical awareness of customer and project requirements
  • Working knowledge of company systems and procurement processes
  • Fluency in Swedish or another Scandinavian language, along with strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work independently within defined scopes, with a proactive, flexible, and solution‑oriented approach
  • Team‑player mindset with strong collaboration skills, high accountability, and a solid work ethic
