Aker Solutions celebrates Pride and champions inclusion

At Aker Solutions, we stand firm on our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Supporting Pride is part of that commitment.

While conversations around Pride and DEI have been shifting of late around the world, our position remains firm: everyone deserves respect, no matter who they are or who they love — not just in June, but every day of the year.

For Aker Solutions, DEI isn’t about charity — it’s about strategy. We view DEI as foundational to our long-term commercial success, because it drives creativity, strengthens collaboration, and fuels innovation. By embracing a wide range of perspectives, we build stronger teams and smarter solutions.

We know inclusion doesn't happen by accident — it takes intention and action. That’s why we work hard every day to build a culture where every employee feels safe, valued, and free to be themselves. We want to create an environment where everyone can thrive.

DEI remains priority

We want every strength in the room, every voice at the table, and every idea heard. By being inclusive, we aim to recruit from the entire talent pool — because innovation doesn’t come from sameness, it comes from difference.

Our DEI strategy is grounded in our code of conduct, people policies, and leadership behaviors. We focus on three priorities: inclusion, gender, and disability / neurodiversity.  

The percentage of our global workforce that identifies as LGBTQ+ is in line with the recorded averages in the population. However, surveys show that fewer of those who identify as LGBTQ+, are comfortable bringing their authentic self to work, versus their “straight” colleagues. That tells us that there is still work to be done.

Pride Month is more than a celebration. It’s a chance to reaffirm our support, amplify LGBTQ+ voices, and reflect on how far we’ve come — and how far we still have to go.
